I also just saw Leap Year and agree Matthew and Amy were great together. Everyone complains the story was too predictable - well duh, it's a romantic comedy - they have been the same story line since the first one was written! I loved Matthew's character, Declan-he was funny, grouchy and likable. Matthew should do more romantic comedies, you are great!

Hi Matthew! Hope your reading this. I just go to know you by watching Leap Year. I am a fan of Amy Adams and you two are wonderful together in Leap Year. Amy Adams is attached to a new film called Undomestic Goddess and heard it will be film in England, I hope you get to star with Amy again. I know one person said that Leap Year is the worst film, I tend to disagree. Just because it didn't have sex and violence, one crazy critic said it was. But the majority said it was a charming, beautiful film. That's good to know that you did a good job.. Amy Adams could do no wrong. She should get more handsome and good actors next to her because she is one amazing actress...I think you are good in good romantic movies!!

I just wanted to say the Leap Year was such an enjoyable movie. The facial expressions, subtle responses and on-screen chemisty made the roles so enjoyable to watch. I don't think I've rewatched a movie so many times in the last 10 years. You made the role look effortless which shows a lot of time and effort and talent went in to your career and this film. All the best to you and your family and I hope to see you in many films over a long and successful career.

Just got the Leap Year dvd from the States as its not yet in New Zealand. Best romantic comedy I've seen in a long while and cheers me up no end after a hard days work. I think Matthew is a very versatile actor and I'm looking forward to finding his other dvd's to watch. Loved the Irish accent and the beard I must say - the story predictable but I liked that, I could concentrate on enjoying the comedy knowing it had the right ending. Will watch 100 times over the next few weeks.

Leap Year was sooo good. You were brilliant. My husband liked it. We laughed so much. You're a natural in this movie as well as Amy. It rates high up there on my list with "It's Complicated". We liked every aspect of the movie. The Leprachaun bit, Every Louis bit, eating in the car, especially the proposing bit on the Irish coast. I just saw Leap Year a few days ago and was introduced to this amazing actor. I watched it 5 times in a row. I couldn't get enough of Matthew's expression and voice! This is the first time since I was a child that I have actually researched an actor and become a fan! I have placed all the movies I could find with him in it on my Netflix list and I can't wait to see more!

Enormously convincing and well cast in "A Single Man" (although we see too little of him) because if the Colin Firth character is grieving that much, the person for whom he grieves must be more than special. One can see that the loss of Matthew could bring about such grief. The characterisation is very much like that done in "Match Point," but that in no way lessens Matthew's work.
